TODAY: Quiet to start the day, but changes are on the way. As a Pacific storm system approaches the state will see increasing winds here locally and increasing rain and snow showers across the mountains. Expect winds for eastern Colorado later today from the southwest at 20-30 Mph+. Some gusts could exceed 40 mph by late in the day and this evening. We'll be watching for showers popping-up west of I-25 late today and tonight. Over Teller County the chance will go up to about 40-50% after about 2 PM...30% chance for Colorado Springs after about 3-4 PM. Pueblo will stay gusty and dry during the day.
TONIGHT: Gusty winds and a better chance of showers for all of us! Snow becomes more likely in Teller County and over the mountains west of I-25. By Sunday we could see a few inches in spots. At the lower elevations we'll see a better chance of rain showers by tonight...especially close the Front Range. Chances for rain and a few snow flakes in Colorado Springs will go up to about 40-50%. Over northern El Paso County/Monument Hill we could see a light accumulation as well. Pueblo's chances for showers will be lower...about 20-30% overnight. Lower chances for Trinidad and La Junta.
SUNDAY: Gusty winds, cooler and another chance of more rain or snow showers during the day and into tomorrow evening. Best chance for showers will continue to be best close to the mountains and the higher elevations. Rain & snow expected in Teller County...about a 50% chance around El Paso County. Pueblo's chances for showers will be only about 20-30% during the day. Temps tomorrow will only be in the 40's and lower 50's for El Paso County. Pueblo temps will be in the mid 50's. Highs across Teller County will only be in the 30's! Keep in mind the winds tomorrow will make the temps feel even chillier!
MONDAY: We'll start the morning with a few lingering light rain and snow showers before 9 AM, then expect a partly sunny to partly cloudy skies and warmer temps by afternoon. Good news is that the winds will be much lighter during the day.
TUESDAY-THURSDAY: More sunshine, dry skies and a big warming trend. Temps will be in the 60's and lower 70's across El Paso County and in the lower to upper 70's in Pueblo.
