TODAY: The day starts with mostly cloudy skies and chilly temps. Later today we'll have a mix of clouds and sun and highs that should be at least 10-12 degrees warmer than yesterday.

TONIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy skies again and cold. If the skies clear a bit more by tomorrow morning it will be a colder beginning to your Thursday forecast. We do expect scattered snow showers over the mountains along the Continental Divide. There is a very slight chance after midnight that we could see a few stray snow flakes over Teller County and the Rampart Range.

THURSDAY: Another day of chilly temps with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Highs again tomorrow will be slightly lower than our averages for this time of the year. More light snow will fall for some the ski resorts in the mountains.

FRIDAY: More sunshine and likely our warmest day of the next five. Temps to end the week will be at or just above our averages. Some spots at the lower elevations will make it to close to 50 degrees.

SATRUDAY: Don't get used to the milder temps. A cold front will push into eastern Colorado by late morning and early afternoon Saturday and bring us colder temps AND some scattered light snow showers. High temps will be early in the day and then get colder as the front passes. It might take until evening for the upslope flow to kick-in enough to create those snow showers.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Falling temps and increasing chances for light snow for all of the eastern half of the state. Chances for showers about 30% over the Rampart Range/Teller County..the Wet & Sangre de Cristo's. Chances for snow about 20-30% around Colorado Springs and El Paso County. Pueblo & La Junta about a 10-20% chance of snow. A little light snow is also expected to fall across the mountains Saturday night into Sunday if you have some plans to do some skiing or boarding.

SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy and cold with high temps only in the 30's for the lower elevations. We'll continue to see areas of light snow possible...especially early in the day.

MONDAY: A little break in the colder/snowy weather from the weekend with more sunhine and milder temps. Highs to start next week will be at least 10-15 degrees warmer than Sunday.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy and a few degrees cooler.
