TODAY: Gusty winds, chilly temps and another round of rain and snow showers expected. By later today another wave of energy will bring another round of rain and snow showers to all of the News 5 viewing area. At least a 50% chance in Colorado Springs...40% chance in Pueblo. In Teller County we'll see more showers and with temps staying in the 30's those showers are expected to be of the snowy variety! Temps in the 40's and 50's in El Paso County. Upper 50's in Canon City and Pueblo....lower 60's for the plains.

TONIGHT: There will be a few lingering showers around as we head into the early evening forecast...including more light snow over around Teller & El Paso County as well as long as the foothills west of I-25. Be advised that we will have some freezing temps overnight tonight so protect your fragile plants.

MONDAY: Cold to start the day with a slight chance of a few light snow showers still lingering around. By afternoon it will partly sunny to partly cloudy and a touch breezy.

TUESDAY-WEDNESDAY: Plenty of sunshine, dry skies and a big warming trend! Temps in spots on the plains will be back into the 60's and 70's! Winds will be a bit breezier by Wednesday ahead of the next change in our weather.

THURSDAY: A weak storm and cool front will approach Colorado and bring a few light showers to the mountains during the day...by later in the afternoon we'll even see a chance around Teller County/The Rampart Range and The Wet & Sangre de Cristo's. Winds at the lower elevations will be on the increase as well. Expect some gusts up around 25 Mph+.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Once that storm and cool front pushes through our chances for showers will go up to about 30% over the mountains close to home and about 20% for all of the lower elevations, including Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Light snow is possible in spots close to and over the mountains due to the chilly overnight temps.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, breezy, dry and cooler. High temps to end the week will be about 5-8 degrees cooler than Thursday.

SATURDAY: Weekend begins on a lovely note! Mostly sunny skies and temps warming back up 5-8 degrees compared to max readings on Friday.
